Sometimes, Idahoans who don’t get treatment end up in mental-health crisis. The people who help them at that point typically aren’t mental-health practitioners — they’re police officers, judges or prosecutors who do involuntarily commitments, or family members. One angle is that Optum Idaho recognizes this and is training people in mental-health first aid.
